Book Wrap

Buku-buku yang ada di kamar kadang bisa bikin kamar kita terlihat berantakan. Beruntung ada alat yang namanya Book Wrap! The Scroll Bookshelf rancangan Xin-Hung Lin, Pei-Yi Chiu, Chia-Rung Shu, dan Wung-Bing Lin ini terbuat dari lembaran metal, yang dilapisi plastik dengan penahan di kedua sisinya. Sekilas seperti barbell. The more books you want to place, then greater the Scroll Bookshelf  become. Yup, Book Wrap akan semakin memanjang. Dan biar peralatan menulis juga rapi, kita bisa meletakkan di dalam laci mungil yang ada di Book Wrap. Cute!

Toko Polaroid

Yang hobi foto-foto pake Polaroid, atau lagi nyari kamera Polaroid, bisa ke tempat yang satu ini. Yup, semenjak produksi kamera ini dihentikan, memang agak susah nyari kamera yang pertama kali dirancang oleh Edwin Land dari perusahaan Polaroid, dan dipasarkan di tahun 1947. Biar nggak susah nyarinya, Gogirl! nyaranin kamu untuk dateng ke Toko Polaroid. Disini banyak jenis kamera Polaroid, mulai dari yang 600 Series, SX 70 Series, Spectra Series, sampai Instant Digital Series.

Kadang yang udah punya kameranya juga susah untuk ngedapetin filmnya, untungnya toko yang awalnya Webstore ini pun lengkap menjual filmnya, yang diproduksi ulang oleh Imposible Project, yakni ada 600 Films, SX 70 Films, dan Spectra Films. Range harga filmnya berkisar dari Rp 195.000 sampai Rp 275.000 (1 pack isinya 8 film). Oh ya, kalau kamu beli kamera disini, dikasih garansi selama 3 bulan. Dan kalau kamu punya kamera Polaroid tapi udah rusak, bisa lho servis disini. Asiknya lagi, kamera Polaroid perawatannya tuh simpel banget. Kamu cukup bersihin roller-nya, dan kalau kamu udah masukin filmnya ke kamera, harus dijaga kelembabannya ya. Ingat, film dan baterai yang udah kamu masukin hanya bertahan 6 bulan aja. FYI, selain di Webstore dan tokonya, kamu bisa dapetin kamera Polaroid di Goods Dept, Mono Space EX, dan Manekineko Epicentrum. Khusus untuk toko, hanya buka pada hari Selasa, Rabu, dan Jumat (11.00-17.00). Tapi kalau mau dateng di luar jam itu, jangan lupa bikin appointment dulu ya.

Color Changing Jeans

Mungkin kalian pernah mendengar tentang batu cincin yang bisa berganti warna. But color changing jeans? Desainer denim Naked & Famous meluncurkan produk jeans yang bisa berganti warna sesuai dengan temperatur tubuh pemakainya. When you're cold, the jeans will be blue, and when you warm up, the jeans will fade to white. Wah! Ternyata jeans-nya bisa seperti ini, dikarenakan kain thermochromic yang di dalamnya ada molekul yang warnanya tergantung temperatur. Harganya pasti lebih mahal dibanding jeans biasa. The color changing jeans costs $240. But you can have fun with the color, and observe which part gets white when you wear it!

How come a printer got so adorable like this? BERG, London-based design studio, adalah perusahaan yang membuat printer thermal imut tanpa tinta ini! Seperti namanya, Little Printer bisa ngeprint kertas-kertas dalam ukuran mini, seperti miniature newspaper, note, resep masak, foto, bahkan game kayak sudoku. Prosesnya juga simpel banget.

BERG juga bekerjasama dengan foursquare, Google, theguardian, dan ARUP lho. Jadi kalau kamu pengen nyetak artikel atau apapun dari website tersebut, bentuknya bagus dan jelas. Ngomong-ngomong, kamu juga bisa men-setting untuk subscription, jadi nanti dia akan ngeprint data dari satu sumber pada waktu yang sama setiap hari. Wah, jadi makin gemes ya sama alat ini?

Instagram dalam kamera Polaroid? Yes! Mungkin bagi kalian yang suka banget sama Instagram, bakal senang banget sama berita ini. Sebuah perusahaan bernama Socialmatic baru saja disetujui untuk meluncurkan Polaroid based instant digital camera bernama Polaroid Socialmatic Camera tahun depan. Apa yang unik dari kamera ini? Pertama, kalian bisa pakai filter Instagram ketika ngambil foto pakai kamera Polaroid ini. Bahkan bisa ngasih kata-kata di bawah fotonya lho. Kalau mau, kalian juga bisa upload foto kalian langsung ke Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, MMS, email, atau Socialmatic Network.

Yang kedua, tentu seperti umumnya kamera Polaroid, kalian bakal bisa langsung nyetak foto berfilter kalian di kamera ini! Fotonya juga bakalan punya QR code lho, jadi foto kalian bisa menghubungkan orang-orang langsung ke akun Instagram kalian. Seru banget kan? Survival Kit "Just in Case"

Misalkan kalau terdampar disebuah pulau seperti di film Cast Away, kira-kira barang apa aja yang akan kamu bawa? Pikiran ini yang mungkin menginspirasi Menosunocerouno untuk menciptakan end-of-the-world survival kit, yang diberi nama "Just in Case". Hehe.. lucu ya ide dan namanya. Isinya juga ternyata unik, ada chocolate Abuelita, Doméstica yellow notebook, pisau sederhana, 40 buah korek api darurat, sampai air mineral. Ngomong-ngomong kenapa di dalam survival kita ini ada cokelat dan notebook yaa? Alasannya kata Menosunocerouno sih, cokelat bikin kita merasa enak di situasi apapun, dan notebook bisa kita pakai untuk menulis cerita, gambar, atau bikin api. Well, makes sense sih. But in any way, you need to have this kit, just in case.

Suka nulis jurnal atau bikin doodle di dalam notebook, kayaknya kalian mesti ngelirik notebook limited edition yang dikeluarkan oleh brand Moleskine deh. Seperti yang kita tau, Moleskine adalah perusahaan yang dibangun di tahun 1997, dan memang terkenal dengan produk-produk, seperti notebook, sketch book, drawing book, dan masih banyak lagi. Baru-baru ini Moleskine meluncurkan produk paling barunya loh, yang dibuat sangat terbatas! Pitch Perfect

The film revolves around the Bellas, an all-female a capella group from Barden University. Reeling from a humiliating loss at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, the group struggles to find new members the next year. Beca, a Barden freshman, has no desire to go to college, but is forced to attend by her father, a professor at the university. Wishing to instead move to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a DJ, she takes up an internship at the school radio station, where she meets fellow freshman Jesse. When Beca's father finds out that Beca has not been attending classes, he offers to let Beca go to Los Angeles if she joins a club and proves that she wants to be involved. After some persuasion from Aubrey, the group leader, and Chloe, she joins the Bellas, along with a group of other women who do not fit the Bellas' typical mold.

At practice, Aubrey's controlling nature gets on the nerves of the other girls. She is constantly critical and insists that they use the same set list the Bellas have been using for years, which clashes with Beca's contemporary style. Meanwhile, Beca hangs out with Jesse—who has joined the Treble Makers, the Bellas' main rival—despite Aubrey's warning to the group not to get involved with Treble Makers. Beca plays several of her own mixes of contemporary songs for him, and he compliments her for her talent. He then tries to get Beca to watch the ending of The Breakfast Club, his favorite movie, after Beca tells him she does not like movies because they bore her and she never gets to the ending.

Despite their issues, the Bellas attend the regional a capella competition. On the way to the venue, the group stops for gas where Fat Amy is hit by a burrito by Bumper, a member of the Treble Makers in their own bus. After the other girls clean her up, they continue on to the venue but run out of gas since Fat Amy forgot to actually put any in the bus. They're then forced to call the Treble Makers to drive them to the venue. In spite of their bland set list, the group manages to place second at the regional a capella competition.

At the semifinals, Beca notices how bored the audience is with Aubrey's traditional arrangement, so she provides impromptu back-up, mash-up vocals. The Bellas come in third in the competition behind the Treble Makers and another group. Even though the audience was pleased, Aubrey was not and Beca quits the group. The Bellas make it into the Nationals after the other group was disqualified because their lead singer was discovered to be in high school, not college. They get together after spring break, but this time, Beca is not included.

During this time, Beca begins working as a DJ at the university radio station, playing her music on the overnight shift, and also steadily distancing herself from Jesse. She finds a copy of The Breakfast Club and watches it. She realizes how much she needs the Bellas in her life. Her father convinces her to rejoin the Bellas, who she finds falling apart. The now complete again Bellas have a heart-to-heart and decide to kick things up a notch with Beca's 21st-century mash-ups. At the National Competition, the Bellas sing a piece arranged by Beca, including "Don't You (Forget About Me)", the theme from The Breakfast Club. The Bellas win the competition and Beca and Jesse reunite with a kiss.
