Nicki Minaj & Katy Perry Get Barbiefied

Kalau minggu lalu, Mattel sudah meluncurkan ‘special Barbie’ of Nicki Minaj. Now it's Katy Perry's turn! Sounds interesting, right?

Pst, buat yang belum tau, cupcake dress Katy ini memang dipakai selama tour California Dreams, dan terbuat dari: 70 hand-painted ‘mini cupcakes’, hand-painted tattoos, sparkling pink shoes, a glittered candy cane mic and a waffle-cone stage complete with swirly pops, “ice cream” mountains and cotton candy clouds. Yum!

GLEE - Full Performance of Trouble Tones "Survivor"/"I Will Survive" air...

It's just your feeling!

You know what's real problem with this world? It's not from outside. It's from inside. A problem is not a problem until the inside of you makes it a problem. Some things like stress, worry, and anxiety. It's all from the inside. It comes from your feeling!

Do you ever feel like everything is not gonna be okay although nothing bad happens? Are you ever so afraid that bad things are gonna happen when everything is just okay? Or, sometimes there's only a very small problem but you take it as a big problem and it makes you stressed? If your answer is yes, sometimes I feel that way, too. However, after I think again about it, actually it's just a feeling.Your feeling makes every thing a problem. It is something inside you that always tries to affect your emotion, and in the end it makes you feel stressed or worry.
The truth is, feeling is something inside you that always tries to let you bother every single thing in your life, so everything looks complicated.
Don't you think it's very funny when your feeling always "plays" you? You can be happy, then sad, then suddenly happy again, and then suddenly sad again. It's natural. Everyone has feeling. But, you should not rely on it. Your feeling is not your boss. Don't let everything depend on it because it's not always right.

The thing is, feelings are soft. It's fragile. If you keep saying yes to your feeling, it's very easy to bring you down. It's true that feeling can make people happy too. Happiness is also a feeling. But, everyone has problems. Feeling is more likely to lead people to bad thoughts than the good ones. When there's nothing bad really happens, your feeling will try to tell you "What if tomorrow something bad happens?" And when there's only a small problem, your feeling will tell you "It's not small. You should not take it easy. It's gonna be worse if you don't do this or do that." I can say that your feeling always tries to "bully" you.
Sometimes everything is just okay, but your feeling makes it dramatic, then you become worry.
So, one thing you can do is to stop letting your feeling make your life a mess. Start to be relax in thinking and making decision. Use a right attitude to lead your act. It's not your circumstance or things aroudn you that you should control. It's the inside of you, because a problem is not a problem until the inside of you takes it as a problem.

Don't let your feeling tell you that it's not okay when everything is just okay. Learn to control your feeling and not be controlled by it. It's you who should control your feeling, not your feeling who controls you.

In Time

The year is 2161. Genetic alteration has allowed humanity to develop a system where individuals stop aging 25 years after birth. Due to over-population concerns, 'living time' has replaced money as the standard currency and people must acquire more time through labor and commercial means after turning 25 years of age, or die within a year. The amount of living time one has left is represented by a clock embedded on their arms like a wristwatch, and when that clock reaches 13 zeros (0000:00:0:00:00:00), they will die instantly. Each social class lives in a different area called a 'Time Zone'. The poor live in the ghettos of Dayton and work each day to earn a few more hours of life, which they must also use to pay for everyday necessities. The rich live in the luxurious New Greenwich, and can live for centuries to millennia based on how much time they have acquired.

Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) is a 28-year-old factory worker who lives with his 50-year old mother Rachel (Olivia Wilde) in the ghettos. One day, Will and his best friend Borel (Johnny Galecki) visit a bar and encounter 105-year-old Henry Hamilton (Matt Bomer), who has more than a century on his clock and flaunts his time around by purchasing everyone drinks. Hamilton is attacked by Fortis (Alex Pettyfer), the 75-year old mobster boss of a gang called the Minutemen, who are infamous for stealing other people's time by force. Will helps Hamilton escape the confrontation and leads him to shelter at an abandoned factory, where Hamilton tells Will that there's enough time for everyone, but it is being stockpiled for the rich to use in becoming immortal. An upset Will argues that no one should die before their time naturally ends so that others may live, upon which Hamilton describes how he is tired of being alive.

Later that night, Hamilton transfers his remaining time to Will while he is asleep and commits suicide by climbing a bridge as his time expires. Once his time is gone, he falls into the river below. Will arrives too late to save him, realizes he has been filmed by a nearby surveillance camera, and flees the area. Hamilton's body is found by the resident police force, the Timekeepers, who deploy veteran Timekeeper Raymond Leon (Cillian Murphy) to capture Will, who is now believed to have stolen Hamilton's time, then kill him.

Will awaits his mother at a bus station to tell her about his newly gained wealth, only to discover that she didn't have enough time to pay for her usual bus ride after the price suddenly increased. He rushes down the street to find her. They encounter each other on foot, and as she runs and leaps into his arms, her time expires before her son can help her and she dies in his arms. Remembering what Hamilton had told him about the inequity of the time system, Will decides to seek revenge. He visits Borel and gives him a decade's worth of time as a friendship gift, and leaves for New Greenwich with over a century on his clock. Upon arrival, he enters a casino, where he meets a 90-year old millionaire, time-loaning businessman Phillipe Weis (Vincent Kartheiser) and his 27-year-old daughter Sylvia Weis (Amanda Seyfried). Sylvia becomes interested in Will after a tense gambling table showdown where Will beats her father in poker with only seconds to spare on his clock, and she invites Will to a party at her father's mansion.

At the mansion, Will is apprehended by Leon, who confiscates most of his time before Will is able to escape by taking Sylvia hostage. He attempts to return to the ghetto with her; however, his car is ambushed by Fortis, destroying the car in an attack which renders them unconscious. Fortis discovers that Will was in possession of Hamilton's time, but is disappointed to learn that Will has no significant amount of time on him, due to having most of it confiscated by the Timekeepers. As consolation, he steals most of Sylvia's, forced to leave about half an hour on her clock as the approaching Timekeepers scare him away from the scene. Will returns to consciousness and gives Sylvia some of his remaining time so they can return to his old neighborhood. They first visit Borel to retrieve some time Will gave him earlier as their time is running out soon, only to find out from Borel's grief-stricken wife that he had drunk himself to death with 9 years on his clock. Sylvia pawns her jewelry for a meager price of 2 days. Finding themselves shelter later, Will makes a call to Weis demanding a 1,000 years' ransom for Sylvia, to be distributed to the people of the ghetto. Leon traces Will's location from his phone call, and heads to Dayton in pursuit.

The following day, as Will prepares to release Sylvia, he discovers that Weis did not pay the ransom, but Will decides to let Sylvia go regardless. Leon appears and almost kills Will, but is shot in the shoulder by Sylvia. Will then transfers two hours of time to the disarmed Leon so that he is able to walk out of Dayton before he "clocks out". Will and Sylvia escape in Leon's car. Later, Will tells her that she still has a chance to walk away from the situation, but she decides to remain by his side, saying there is no purpose to the life she once had in New Greenwich. The couple then kiss. They begin a series of Time Bank robberies while evading Leon and the Timekeepers, stealing the Time Capsules which store time and distributing them to the poor, with a bounty of 10 years on their heads. Fortis eventually tracks down Will and Sylvia a second time, and challenges Will to a Time Fight. Will dominates the fight by using the technique he learned from his late father and kills the remaining Minutemen while Fortis dies, his time transferred to Will.

However, Will and Sylvia soon realize their previous efforts were futile, as the rich have the ability to simply increase the cost of living in the ghettos to maintain the status quo. They devise a plan to steal a million years from Weis' private headquarters. Will and Sylvia steal Weis' one million year Time Capsule and escape the facility. The Timekeepers form a blockade to stop them, but Will and Sylvia manage to break through and reach Dayton. Upon arrival, Leon crashes his car into Will's, but Will is able to hand the Time Holder to a young girl, who distributes the time among the people. Leon eventually catches up with Will and Sylvia outside the city, holding them at gunpoint. Will jokingly asks Leon to return some of the time he previously loaned him so that they can survive till their executions, but Leon realizes that he had neglected to replenish his own time before going after them, and dies. Will and Sylvia are left with seconds to live, but Will runs to Leon's car and takes his allotted time, and transfers it to Sylvia seconds before she is about to die, a scene mirroring his mother's death.

Will and Sylvia continue robbing banks as part of their efforts to crash the system, now with a bounty of 100 years on their heads, while the rich attempt to cope with the sudden surge of new rich people arriving from the ghettos.

The Social Network

Last winter, Gabriela, now fourteen, was expecting to attend her friend Sarah's* thirteenth-birthday weekend in New York City. "In front of my whole family, she said that it'd be so fun and we'd have a blast if I came," recalls Gabriela, a high school freshman in Newark, Delaware. But the official invite never arrived, and Gabriela promptly forgot about it—until the Monday in February when a group of her friends returned to school after spending the weekend in the Big Apple. Gabriela was shocked and hurt that she'd been excluded. "What happened? You told me straight up I was coming. This isn't right," she told Sarah. "Sarah said, 'We took a vote. I wanted you to come, but everybody else didn't,'" Gabriela says. "I didn't want to cry in front of her, so I waited until I got home."

While periodically dealing with exclusion is a part of life, to many teens, certain public slights feel overwhelmingly painful. "It's heartbreaking to not feel included," says John Duffy, Psy.D., a clinical psychologist. "It makes you feel like you don't have a place and you don't really know who you are."

When all of your friends have been included except you, it can seem extremely isolating, notes eighteen-year-old Nicole, from Marlboro, New Jersey. "When you hear that a friend is having a party and you realize you weren't invited, it's a slap in the face," she says. "It makes you feel not wanted."

But why does exclusion suddenly feel like a huge issue when you reach middle school and high school—and why does it hurt so much? "When we hit the teen years," Duffy explains, "we define ourselves far more in a social context instead of a family context and look to friends instead of relatives for approval. Our self-worth is derived in large part from how we fit in with our peer group. We think a lot about what other people think of us; our big fear is that they don't."

Olivia, a nineteen-year-old in Alpharetta, Georgia, faced that fear one Friday afternoon this past spring. "I was on Facebook when my news feed updated, and I saw a picture of my good friend Amanda* and everyone I hang out with celebrating Amanda's birthday at a restaurant," the college freshman recalls. "I was in shock. Why didn't she just text me? These are the people I see all the time," she says.

She commented "Why wasn't I invited?" on the photo, and Amanda immediately responded that it was an accident; the birthday dinner had spontaneously come together earlier that day. It was cold comfort to Olivia. "When I saw that on Facebook, I felt like a loser," she says. "By commenting on that party photo, I was announcing to every one of my friends who were tagged: 'I wasn't there, and I want to know why.'"

Facebook, Twitter, and other forms of social media can make these experiences of exclusion immeasurably worse: You can see exactly what your friends are doing at all times, with or without you. "Past generations of teens have experienced this—rejection, feeling like an outsider," says Georgia Michalopoulou, Ph.D., chief of staff of the Child Psychiatry and Psychology division of the Children's Hospital of Michigan. "But it's much more of a problem now. Before, if a friend betrayed your trust, only that one friend knew about it. Now a whole group of people knows." Adds Olivia: "On Facebook, you want everyone to know that you're out and about doing something—you're not home alone updating your Facebook status."

Social self-worth is, for some girls, a public numbers game, Duffy says. "The more people we are approved by, the better we feel about ourselves." So seeing how much fun others are having via your Facebook feed could easily make you think that you're left out of everything—even things you don't necessarily care about.
But it's definitely worse if you're close friends with the person who excluded you, says Katie, a fourteen-year-old high school freshman. After a big eighth-grade dance last year, the Louisville, Kentucky, native went home and immediately logged on to Facebook. "I saw tons of pictures of my friends getting ready for the dance together," she says. "They had a little predance party and didn't tell me. It was so upsetting because I was good friends with [the host], and I saw people there who don't really talk to her. It's like, OK, she's not going to invite me, but she'll invite people she doesn't really know? It made me feel really bad, like there was something wrong with me."

Olivia admits to experiencing a similar sense of paranoia: "I worried at the beginning that I'd been excluded on purpose," she says. "I thought, Was this planned? Did I do something? I even went back and checked my text messages to see what we'd talked about in the last week."

The best way to deal with feeling left out, say Duffy and Michalopoulou, is to try to modify your reaction to exclusion—since many teens experience it so often and it's impossible to be invited to everything. That's what helped Nicole. "At first I felt like, Oh, poor me, my life sucks," she says. "But then I heard stories from different friends about not being invited somewhere, and I thought, OK, these things just happen. As upset as I was, I know in a few years it won't mean anything to me. And for now I'll hang out with my other friends who care about me and wouldn't exclude me."

Another way to protect yourself from serious postexclusion hurt: Focus on the quality of your friendships. For one thing, having hundreds of Facebook friends or tons of real-life acquaintances isn't as fulfilling as fostering close friendships with people you can trust, Duffy says. "You can be hanging out with 50 people on a Friday night, online or otherwise, and feel lonely," he says, "or be with two and feel great." Michalopoulou adds that it's good to have friends in different groups too: "Develop friendships that aren't just based on status," she suggests. Instead, "form relationships with other kids who have similar interests and hobbies."

And if it's your BFF who excluded you, like in Katie's story? Talk it out with an adult you trust, and if your relationship with your friend has been good so far, ask her—offline—why she excluded you, Michalopoulou says. "Address it face-to-face, not over the Internet." Gabriela says that in her situation, Sarah, who had the New York birthday weekend, apologized to her a few different times after everything happened. Though Gabriela was hesitant to trust her again, she eventually believed Sarah's feelings of remorse were honest. "I forgave her and the other girls, and I felt like the bigger person," she says.

While being left out can be devastating, girls say there's often an upside—the experience makes you more compassionate toward and understanding of others. Olivia doesn't post her whereabouts on Facebook if she's going somewhere that's not an open invite; Gabriela says that she's now much more inclusive. "There are times when there's that one person you don't want to invite—but I still do," she says.
It's also worth remembering that your social circle shouldn't dictate how you feel about yourself. "Don't internalize negative comments. Try to make your own decisions about things," says Michalopoulou. "It's important to remember that you can't change how people behave, but you can change the way you deal with these situations."

Exclusion can surely lay bare the cracks in your friendship—but it can also make it clear who your true allies are. Being left out, Nicole says, "made me realize that the girls who've excluded me aren't my good friends. It's kind of like a blessing in disguise. It helps you let go of people who aren't healthy for you."

Benches Break At Balenciaga Show

Mulai dari Kate Lanphear-nya Elle, Eric Wilson-nya The New York Time’s, Hamish Bowles, Grace Coddington, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Salma Hayek dan suaminya; Francois Henry Pinault, Catherine Deneuve & Isabelle Hupert.

And just info, totalnya ada 4 front row lho yang patah!

Ini dia ‘the best tweets’ dari para front liners yang berdiri selama show berlangsung:
@AnnaDelloRusso: Amazing Balenciaga Show by Nicolas Ghesquiere! All standing like in a church! #PFW
@womensweardaily: Benches are breaking ahead of the Balenciaga show - workers shuttling in replacements. #PFW
@JakandJilBlog: The benches breaking at Balenciaga! It is a now standing show!!! INSANE!
@JakandJilBlog: I felt like I just attended the church of Balenciaga. Everyone standing in heels watching…..le moment!! The Darth Vader finale was superb!
@CathyHorynNYT: Benches cracking at Balenciaga as guests leap up. A second one just carted off. Now a third broke and nervous buzz starts, as in “Me next?”
@JessicaMichault: Everyone has been asked to stand during the Balenciaga show because 4 of the benches have already collapsed under the likes of Mario Testino
@BazaarUK: #Balenciaga…Standing room only (due to multiple bench breaking) ..Nothing if not democratin…
@emma_whitehair (She’s a Selfridges fashion PR): @Selfridges team first to hit the floor @Balenciaga. Still can’t quite believe that the all benches broke… #PFW
@pushprlondon: #Balenciaga are rocking the ‘standing fashion show’, what do we think about that? Is standing the new seating?
“Everyone was asked to stand during the Balenciaga show”.

Abduction

Nathan Harper (Taylor Lautner) is a teenager who lives with his parents, Kevin (Jason Isaacs) and Mara (Maria Bello). He has a recurring nightmare, and consults a psychiatrist, Dr. Geraldine Bennett (Sigourney Weaver) to discover why.

One day, Nathan is partnered with his neighbor and longtime crush Karen Murphy (Lily Collins) on a school assignment about missing children. Karen finds a website that shows how the children would look like as adults, and Nathan discovers that a young boy named Steven Price would look exactly like him, when Price got older. Searching in his basement, he finds the same shirt that Steven is wearing in the picture and realizes that he and Steven are the same person.

Nathan calls the website's owner, unaware that he is a Russian terrorist. The man reports back to his commander, Viktor Kozlow (Michael Nyqvist), who deploys two agents to Nathan's house. They attack Nathan's parents, who tell him to run before being murdered and the house is destroyed. Nathan and Karen escape and attempt to call the police, but the call is intercepted by CIA operative Frank Burton (Alfred Molina), who tells Nathan that he's in danger and sends a team to pick him up.

Before the team arrives, Dr. Bennett appears and tells Nathan that Burton can't be trusted. She reveals that Nathan's biological father, Martin, is a CIA agent who stole a list from Kozlow with the names of corrupt CIA operatives and that Kozlow created the website in order to locate Nathan and use him as leverage to force Martin to return the list. Kozlow's men appear, having intercepted Nathan's call. Bennett tells Nathan to run away and head for a safe house in Arlington, Virginia. Karen decides to go with Nathan. Before they leave, Bennett tells him he can only trust his father and a man called Paul Rasen, and blows up her car to facilitate both their escape and her own.

Nathan and Karen arrive at the safe house, where Nathan finds Martin's cellphone as well as an address and photo of his biological mother, Lorna Price. They discover that she is dead. Nathan visits her grave and notices fresh flowers, so Karen asks the caretaker about recent visitors. He reveals that the last visitor was Paul Rasen from Nebraska.

Nathan and Karen head to Nebraska on a train; Kozlow's right-hand man follows them. When Karen leaves to get food, he kidnaps her and attempts to capture Nathan, but Nathan overpowers him and throws him off the train. Karen escapes and reunites with Nathan. They leave when the train stops in response to Kozlow's agent's death. Nathan takes Kozlow's agent's phone during the fight.

Burton and his men find and convince the two that they want to help. They stop at a diner, where Burton tells Nathan about the list. Nathan checks Martin's phone and finds the list, which contains Burton's name. Before Burton can react, Kozlow's men attack the diner and kill several of Burton's men. Nathan and Karen escape while Burton and his partner kill Kozlow's men.

Kozlow's right-hand man's cellphone rings and Nathan answers it. Kozlow reveals that he has planned to kidnap Karen's parents and will kill them if Nathan doesn't give him the list. Nathan agrees, but says that he'll choose the place of the exchange. Kozlow agrees. Nathan realizes that his nightmares are due to repressed memories of Lorna being murdered by Kozlow while trying to protect him.

Nathan decides to give Kozlow the list at a Pirates baseball game, and reveals to Karen that he actually intends to kill Kozlow. Nathan receives a call from Martin (who is also at the stadium) who tells him not to give Kazlow the list. Nathan ignores his advice, and tries to shoot Kozlow, who steals the gun and tries to force Nathan to give him the list. Burton's men, stationed all over the stadium, open fire as Nathan escapes, with Kozlow in pursuit.

Martin calls Nathan and tells him to lure Kozlow to an open area. Nathan does so, and, as Kozlow prepares to kill Nathan, Martin (Dermot Mulroney) kills Kozlow with a sniper shot fired from a nearby building. Burton's men appear and capture Nathan. On their way to CIA headquarters, Burton attempts to decrypt Martin's cellphone. However, his superiors reveal that Martin has warned them that Burton would attempt this in order to remove his own name, and Burton is detained.

Martin calls Nathan one last time and apologizes for everything. He says that he'll always be watching over Nathan, who reunites with Karen and Bennett, who tells him that she has arranged for him to live with her until he graduates, at which point he can move out to attend college. Nathan thanks her and leaves with Karen for a date in the empty stadium.

Tidung Island

Kelly Osbourne & Lourdes Celebrate Material Girl’s First Birthday

Happy birthday to “Material Girl”. Yay!

Bahkan sebelum sampai di Macy’s Herald Square, Kelly sempet nge-Tweet: “In the car on my way I can't wait to see all my fellow material girl's @macys @MaterialGirlCol!!!!!!” dan juga... “EVERYONE!!!! please can you wish @MaterialGirlCol a happy 1 year Anniversary!!!!,” tulis Kelly di account Twitter miliknya.

Buktinya setelah acara selesai Kelly pun nge-Tweet lagi: “Just had the best time hanging with Lola she really is one of the coolest girls on earth thank you @MaterialGirlCol and @macys”. Dan Material Girl pun ternyata juga menulis: “Had so much fun last night at our 1st Birthday Party! LOVE this shot of @MissKellyO + #Lola cutting the cake!!!,” di account Twitter mereka. Once again, happy birthday Material Girl!

Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2

Sex and the City

Set four years after the events of the series finale, the film begins with a montage of Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) walking through New York and a recap of what happened in the TV series as well as what happened between the season six finale and the film. It then jumps to Carrie and Big (Chris Noth) viewing apartments with the intention of moving in together. Carrie falls in love with a penthouse suite far from their price range, which Big immediately agrees to pay for. However, Carrie experiences doubts over the wisdom of this arrangement, explaining that they are not married, and as such she would have no legal rights to their home in the event of a separation. She offers to sell her own apartment, and quelling her fears, Big suggests that they get married.

Samantha (Kim Cattrall) has relocated her business to Los Angeles to be close to Smith (Jason Lewis), who is now a prime-time television star. She finds her five-year-old relationship humdrum and yearns for her old life—especially after witnessing the public sexcapades of Dante, the hot new neighbor. She takes every opportunity to fly East to be with the other girls.

Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) finds that balancing her home, work, and social life ever the more difficult, and confesses to the girls that she hasn’t had sex with Steve (David Eigenberg) in six months. She is devastated when Steve reveals he has slept with another woman, and immediately separates from him.

After an argument with Steve at the rehearsal dinner, Miranda, still upset about Steve's indiscretion, tells Big bluntly that he and Carrie are crazy to be getting married, as marriage ruins everything. On the day of the ceremony, Big cannot go through with it, but repeated attempts to telephone Carrie fail. A devastated Carrie flees the wedding. Big changes his mind and intercepts Carrie as he sees her limousine drive away. Carrie, humiliated and betrayed, furiously attacks Big with her bouquet while he earns scathing looks from Miranda and Charlotte. The four women subsequently take the honeymoon that Carrie had booked to Mexico, where they de-stress and collect themselves.

Upon her return to New York, Carrie hires an assistant, Louise (Jennifer Hudson), to help her move back into her old apartment and manage her administration. Charlotte learns she is pregnant after a visit to her doctor. Miranda eventually confesses to Carrie about what happened during the night of the rehearsal dinner, and the two have a brief falling out. After reflecting on the argument she had with Carrie, Miranda agrees to attend couples counseling with Steve, and they are eventually able to reconcile. Samantha begins over-eating to keep from cheating on Smith with Dante, but eventually realizes that their relationship is simply not working, and that she needs to put herself first. The two break up, and she moves back to New York. Charlotte for several months is concerned that something might happen to the baby, because she feels her life seems to be too perfect.

A surprise encounter with Big at a restaurant leaves Charlotte so outraged that she goes into labor. Big drives her to the hospital, and waits until baby Rose is born, hoping to see Carrie. Harry passes on the message that Big would like her to call him, and that he has written to her frequently, but never received a reply. Carrie searches her correspondence, before realizing that Louise has kept his e-mails password-protected from her, after Carrie earlier announced she wished to sever all communication with him. She finds that he has sent her dozens of letters copied from the book she showed him in the weeks before their wedding, Love Letters of Great Men, Vol. 1, culminating with one of his own where he apologizes for screwing it up and promises to love her forever.

One hour before the locks are due to be changed on their shared penthouse apartment, Carrie travels to the home Big had bought for them to collect a pair of blue Manolo Blahnik shoes she had left there. She finds Big in the walk-in closet he had built for her, and the moment she sees him, her anger at his betrayal dissipates. She runs into his arms and they share a passionate kiss. After they have spent the final hour in their apartment together making up, talking and apologizing to one another, Big proposes to Carrie properly, using one of her diamond-encrusted shoes in place of a ring. They later marry alone, in a simple wedding in New York City Hall, with Carrie dressed in the original dress she had bought in a vintage shop and the blue Manolos. After Big kisses the bride, he whispers into her ear "Ever thine. Ever mine. Ever ours," a line by Ludwig van Beethoven Carrie read to him from Love Letters of Great Men, Vol. 1 earlier in the film. They hold a get-together at a local diner with their friends. The film ends with the four women around a table in a restaurant, sipping cosmopolitans, and celebrating Samantha's fiftieth birthday, with Carrie making a toast to the next fifty.

Sex and the City 2

Set two years after the first film, the film begins with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) meeting up with each other at a shop in New York which turns into a flashback to how Carrie arrived in New York City in 1986, then met Charlotte in 1987, Miranda in 1988 and finally Samantha in 1989.

The film then jumps to the present, two years after the events of the first film. At the Connecticut same-sex wedding of Stanford Blatch (Willie Garson) and Anthony Marentino (Mario Cantone), Liza Minnelli appears to officiate the wedding vows and sings Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)".

The four friends now have lives that are more stressful than before: All are married except Samantha, who is now 52 and trying to keep her libido alive with hormones while dealing with menopause. Miranda quits her job after the new managing partner disrespects her once too often. Charlotte's two children are a handful and she's worried that Harry is attracted to their buxom Irish nanny, Erin (Alice Eve).

Carrie's marriage to Mr. Big (Chris Noth) has settled down, though they differ on how to spend their spare time: she loves to go out, he would prefer to stay home every night, eating take-out meals and watching television. For their anniversary, Carrie gives Mr. Big a vintage Rolex watch engraved with a romantic message, while he, much to her dismay, shows her a new television in their bedroom as his gift, which Big says they can use to watch old movies together as they did on vacation. Carrie is disappointed, as she had hoped for jewelry as a gift. She asks to spend some personal time alone in her old apartment, but Big enjoys the time to himself even more than she does, and to Carrie's dismay, asks to make it a weekly occurrence.
Meanwhile, Samantha has been approached by an Arab sheikh to devise a PR campaign for his business. He offers to fly her and her friends on an all-expenses-paid luxury vacation to Abu Dhabi. The girls happily accept, although Carrie is worried about the separation from Big and Charlotte is worried about leaving her husband alone with the nanny. Only Miranda, unfettered by a job for the first time in her life, plunges enthusiastically into studying Arabic and planning sightseeing.

Upon entering Abu Dhabi, Samantha's hormone-enhancing drugs are confiscated under UAE law. This renders her devoid of estrogen; to her great dismay, her famous libido goes dead, unaroused even by Australian men in Speedo swimwear. Charlotte tries to call Harry every few minutes. Miranda revels in the luxury surrounding her, while Carrie befriends her manservant, Gaurau (Raza Jaffrey), and learns of his long distance marriage - he can only afford to see his wife back in India once every three months.

While out shopping at the local souk with Miranda, Carrie runs into her former lover, Aidan (John Corbett). He proposes dinner Ă  deux at his hotel, but she is noncommittal. The next day, however, she is crushed at reading a negative critique of her new book in The New Yorker, and decides to meet Aidan for dinner, although Charlotte cautions her not to play with fire. The dinner is very enjoyable, with the two discussing old times. Aidan remarks on the ways Carrie is "not like other women", pointing out that when they were engaged, she would only wear her engagement ring on a chain around her neck; now that she's married, she still isn't wearing a diamond on her ring finger, only her wedding ring. In a moment of remembered passion, they kiss. Carrie runs away in a panic and returns to the hotel.

Meanwhile, back at the hotel, Miranda and Charlotte have drinks together and discuss the difficulties of motherhood. Miranda admits painfully that being a mother is not enough for her and that she misses her job. Charlotte confesses her guilt at enjoying her time away from her daughters and her frustration with trying to be the perfect mother at all times. She drinks so many cocktails to bolster her courage to be honest with Miranda that she becomes very tipsy.

At this point, Carrie bursts into the room, crying, "I played with fire!". After summoning Samantha, she tells her friends about the kiss, and asks them whether or not she should tell Big, as she says they have no secrets between them. Miranda reflects on the events of the previous film, when her husband, Steve (David Eigenberg), told her about his affair and how in retrospect, while it helped clear his conscience, she is not sure that knowing was worth the pain she went through. Charlotte is too drunk to be any help, but Carrie already knows where she stands. Samantha counsels Carrie to wait and sleep on it before deciding anything.
Carrie opts to call Big from Abu Dhabi to tell him. Previously, in the television series, Carrie had had an affair with Big, who was then married to Natasha, while dating Aidan, which subsequently caused both couples to break up. Big is silent upon hearing the news, and after saying a few words, hangs up.
The four women find their style and Western attitudes contrast with Muslim customs, with Samantha facing the most conflict. While on a date with Rikard (Max Ryan), a handsome Dane, Samantha is arrested for public indecency after fondling him at a restaurant and making out with him on the beach (she claims they were just kissing). With the Sheikh's intervention, Samantha is released, but is left with a permanent police record. Worse, due to her display of disrespect for local custom, the Sheikh cancels the PR meeting and ceases paying for the women's luxurious perks.

They quickly pack their bags and leave, but must return to the souk to find Carrie's passport, where Charlotte is nearly detained by some overenthusiastic traders in illegal watches. When Samantha's flamboyance nearly incites a riot, the girls are rescued by a group of Muslim women who share their sense of style under their black robes.

When Carrie returns home, she finds the bedroom television removed and Big gone. She passes an anxious day, at the end of which he returns. Big tells her that although he was "pretty torn up", he realizes that she is "a rookie at this marriage thing", and that what she needs is something to remind her at all times that she is married. He hands her a jewelry box which reveals an engagement-style ring set with a black diamond. When Carrie asks him why a black diamond, he says, "Because you're not like anyone else", echoing Aidan's earlier comment.

The movie ends with a few scenes showing the problems the women faced at the beginning of the film being resolved. Big and Carrie combine their interests. Charlotte's nanny, Erin, turns out to be a lesbian and is no threat to her marriage. Miranda finds a new job where she is appreciated, and Samantha stays the same. In the final scene, Big and Carrie are watching an old black-and-white movie (The Talk of the Town) where 'The End' appears on the TV screen.

Anne Hathaway is the new face of Tod's

Good news buat kamu yang ngefans sama Anne Hathaway, karena aktris yang terkenal dari film The Devil Wears Prada ini resmi menjadi ‘the new face of TOD’s collection’.

Seperti yang dikatakan Tod's Creative Director; Derek Lam, "What makes this collaboration with Anne so perfect is that not only is she a young actress with accomplished roles to her credit, she is also one to watch for her creative choices. She generates excitement based on the quality of her work, modern beauty and intelligence.

"The designs are classic and the materials are of the highest quality. As a result, they don't grow older, they only grow better just like a woman," komentar Hathaway. Yap, and she looks stunning!

Some Enchanted Evening: The Kings and Queens of Iconic Prom Cinema

It's a dance, dance revolution! Danielle Nussbaum crowns the kings and queens of iconic prom cinema.

Someone said:
My high school boyfriend wrote, “Will you go to prom with me?” in rose petals on my bedroom floor. I still have pictures and, believe it or not, the rose petals. I went to four proms and wore everything from cream silk (big mistake) to black velvet (bigger mistake), but I was guided by movies: They told me how cool the night could be, how cool it should be. The dress, the hair, the music, the limo, the theme . . . there’s a reason that prom is such a repeated trope in pop culture. It matters.
“It’s that one special moment when who you were for four years of high school—it ends right there,” says Aimee Teegarden, star of Disney’s Prom, this spring’s addition to the canon that shows a group of teens prepping for the big event. In real life, Aimee’s boyfriend created a scavenger hunt to ask her to be his date. “I wore a turquoise dress with spaghetti straps that I got for, like, $30,” she says. “His parents had a Suburban, and he played chauffeur. We watched Chappelle’s Show and then went stargazing.”

Cheesy? A little. (“You have to just go with it,” Aimee says, laughing.) But the most memorable scenes require the suspension of disbelief: An entire formalwear-clad student body breaks into a perfectly synchronized dance (High School Musical). A social outcast wreaks horror havoc on her pranking peers (Carrie). And, dreamily, the awkward beauty gets rescued by her quirky BFF and ends up in the arms of her rich semi-boyfriend (Pretty in Pink). Reality? Not so much. But when we’re young, these films are a blueprint. Older, they’re pure nostalgia.

Movie proms may not be real, but the experience is universal.

Burj Al Arab Hotel

Wow, how cool!
