PROM: Who Are You Going With?

Class president Nova (Aimee Teegarden) has been planning the school's prom. She and her friends, Mei (Yin Chang), Ali (Janelle Ortiz), Brandon (Jonathan Keltz), and Rolo (Joe Adler) have created the perfect decorations, which they store in the school's shed. Nova, who has a crush on Brandon, hopes he will drive her to prom, no plot but he wants to carpool instead.

Meanwhile, Lloyd (Nicholas Braun), the "invisible" guy at school, is complaining about prom to his stepsister, Tess (Raini Rodriguez) because he has no date but she responds by telling him he should just ask somebody. Elsewhere at the school, Tyler (De'Vaughn Nixon) is confronted by his girlfriend, Jordan (Kylie Bunbury), who assumes he is cheating on her due to the single gold earring she finds in his car. He assures her this is not the case, and Jordan believes him.

"Bad boy" Jesse Richter (Thomas McDonell) has been missing school lately and showing other "unacceptable" behavior, such as riding his motorcycle on school grounds. Principal Dunnan (Jere Burns) has a talk with him, but is not satisfied with Jesse's attitude. Mei learns she has been accepted into Parsons, which conflicts with the plans she made with her boyfriend, Justin (Jared Kusnitz), of going to the University of Michigan together. She is stressed about this and becomes irritable as prom approaches, which she agrees to go with Justin.

Sophomore Lucas (Nolan Sotillo) is attracted to Simone (Danielle Campbell), his lab partner, who he tries to get with the help of his friend Corey (Cameron Monaghan). Ali asks Rolo who he is taking to prom, which he responds by telling her he is taking his girlfriend, who she doubts exists.

That night, Tyler takes to Jordan to the school's shed, which he has decorated with many candles, to ask her to prom, and she agrees. When they leave the shed, however, they forget to put out a single candle. The shed promptly catches fire and burns down. The next day, a devastated Nova, with no decorations and only three weeks to prom, asks her friends for extra help to pull the dance off, which they all back out of, each listing their own reason.

Principal Dunnan, seeing her dilemma, has an idea, and forces Jesse to help her, or he cannot graduate. Although Nova and Jesse both are unhappy with this situation, they comply anyway. At school, Lloyd is having trouble finding a date, even with the help of his sister. At one point Lloyd scares his friend Alice (Ivy Malone) and her best friend Lea (Blair Fowler). As one thing goes wrong after another, Lloyd loses confidence and becomes frustrated.

Later at home, Nova complains to her parents about her having to work with Jesse, when Brandon shows up and tells her he cannot take her to prom, and that she will have to find another date. As the date becomes closer to prom, Nova and Jesse grow closer while working together. Jesse also tells Nova the reason he is always late to help is because he has to help pick up his brother from school, as his mother is unable to.
During lacrosse practice, Tyler invites Lucas to the team barbecue, and tells him to invite a girl. Lucas decides to ask Simone, which she agrees to. After school, Nova is growing frustrated because Jesse is late to helping her work on prom. Finally, he shows up, and there is tension right away. They have several arguments, one of which leads to Jesse apologizing.

One night, Nova finds out that the neighboring high school has the same theme for their prom as her own. Jesse suggests they take his motorcycle to go check out the other school's decorations, and she agrees. However, they are caught by the police, who call Nova's parents. Nova's father is infuriated with Jesse and insults him.

At Tyler's barbecue, Tyler tries to make a move on Simone, only to be rejected by her. It is made clear they have a history. Simone tells Lucas that if she had known it was Tyler's barbecue, she would not have come. Mei's attitude is becoming worse and worse, and Justin believes she does not want to go to prom. He calls the date off, and Mei is left feeling very uncomfortable.

At school, Lucas is blowing off Corey to spend more time with Simone, and asks her to study for the upcoming test with him, to which she agrees. However, as she is about to go to library, Simone is stopped by Tyler, who convinces her to talk with him. He tells her about his feelings for her. Jordan sees the two talking and immediately grasps the situation.

After school, Nova walks to Jesse's brother's school so she can talk to Jesse and apologize for her dad's behavior. Later, she takes him dress shopping. Back at school, Simone apologizes to Lucas for having ditched him. She has a surprise, tickets to a concert, where Stick Hippo (his and Corey's favorite band) is opening.

Lucas wants to take Simone instead of Corey, much to Corey's dismay. Jordan dumps Tyler for his unfaithfulness, and decides to go to prom alone. This prompts him to ask Simone to prom, which is the same night as the concert, and she agrees. Simone tells Lucas that she is sorry, but she cannot go to the concert.
Mei apologizes to Justin for her behavior and tells him the truth, but instead of feeling hurt that she is going to a different college, he tells her he is proud of her. They agree that they should still go to prom together.

Lloyd spots Lucas sitting outside the school, looking dejected. He learns his situation, and tells Lucas his own mistake with girls and high school. Lloyd tells Lucas that if he really loves Simone, he should tell her.

Two nights before the prom, Nova, Ali, and Mei are in Nova's room, talking. Nova confesses to them that she has feelings for Jesse, which her dad unfortunately overhears. The next day, Nova's father tells Jesse he cannot ask Nova to prom, because he is "bringing her down". That afternoon, Jesse is unusually hostile towards Nova and deserts her.

On prom night, Lucas climbs a tree to reach Simone's window. He tells her how he feels and begs her not to go to prom, but she goes anyway. Disappointed, Lucas realizes what a bad friend he has been to Corey, and offers him the other concert ticket. The two head off to see their favorite band happily.

At her house, Nova is heartbroken, and refuses to pose for the camera in her prom dress. Her father, worried, explains that he was the one who told Jesse not to ask her to prom. Angered, Nova storms out of the house. Meanwhile, at Lloyd's house, it is revealed that he is taking his sister to prom. At Jesse's house, his mother has a talk with him, and he realizes that he should still take Nova to prom.

At the school, Tyler leads Simone into the building, and almost immediately abandons her. Simone finds out from a couple of girls that it was actually Jordan who dumped Tyler, and Tyler had gone to her with no other option. When Tyler asks her to dance (He was crowned prom king and Jordan queen) she refuses and leaves. She goes to the concert parking lot, where she waits for Lucas, and they share a dance.

Rolo comes in with his friend, Athena, much to Ali's surprise. She is also surprised that all he said about her was true. Nova is having an awful time at prom, and when Mei tells her the centerpiece, the fountain, is broken, she cannot take it anymore. As she is about to leave, she hears the fountain work again, and knows the only person who could have fixed it was Jesse. He walks up to her and asks her to prom. She agrees, and they dance and share a kiss.

Be realistic to be happy!

I learn lots of motivational words. I read lots of inspirational stories. And from what I experience so far, I always hear people say "Never give up!" or "You can do it if you believe." But I very seldom hear people say "Be realistic. It's time to give up."

It's good when you keep believing and don't give up for things you want to achieve. But sometimes you also need to look at yourself, open your eyes, and be realistic. After all, this is the way to simplify your life and start enjoying what you have.

Many people are too busy with trying and trying the same thing to get everything right and perfect. I was one of them. For a perfectionist like me, sometimes I feel like everything must be perfect, and I won't stop trying until I know everything is right. But I don't realize that what I do just makes my life more complicated. It makes everything more difficult, still I don't get what I want. It just steals my happiness and makes my burdens heavier. If you're someone similar to me, change it! Now I'm also learning to change it, and I can feel my life is getting easier.

The truth is, being realistic can move you from your complicated life to a simple life. In simple life, you don't think too much. Realists still keep believing in their dreams, but they don't let everything trouble them. You still keep trying, you still keep achieving. When you're right, you succeed. When you're wrong, you learn. When it works, you celebrate. When it doesn't work, look for another way. It helps you to enjoy your life, and that's the secret of a simple life and happiness!

Now, the difference is just in how you focus your life on. Realists focus to reach their dreams, but unrealists just focus on their own illusions. However, it's also important to note that being realistic is totally different from being pessimistic. Don't be a pessimist as an excuse of being realistic. Pessimists always focus on what they can't. They're not willing to take some efforts to achieve something. Realists are different. They're not a giving-up people. They just don't waste their times to play their minds with illusion that doesn't really exist.Be realistic. Simplify your life. It will be easier.

PS: I'm also still learning this one. Let's learn together!

Glee Live! 3D!, a concert movie that will feature performances from the upcomingGlee Live! In Concert! tour, is set to hit theaters on August 12th. The movie is scheduled to run for only two weeks, and will include appearances by 14 cast members from the hit television series.

According to Glee creator Ryan Murphy, the movie is being made in part because the tour will be so brief. "Due to the limited time we had to travel during our hiatus, there were only so many cities we could get to before we had to resume work on the television series," Murphy told the Hollywood Reporter. "We knew that not every fan who wanted to attend a concert would get that opportunity."

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2

As Lord Voldemort retrieves the Elder Wand from Albus Dumbledore's grave, Severus Snape has become Hogwarts' headmaster. Meanwhile, after burying Dobby, Harry Potter speaks with Griphook about breaking into Bellatrix Lestrange's vault at Gringotts bank, suspecting that a Horcrux may be hidden there. Griphook agrees to take Harry, Ron, and Hermione to the vault in exchange for the Sword of Gryffindor. Harry asks Ollivander, a wandmaker, to identify two wands they took from Malfoy Manor. Ollivander says they belonged to Bellatrix and Draco Malfoy, but Malfoy's wand has changed its allegiance to Harry.

At Bellatrix's vault, Harry discovers that the Horcrux is Helga Hufflepuff's Cup. He obtains the cup but Griphook takes the sword and abandons the trio, leaving them cornered by the alerted security. However, the three release the dragon guardian and flee. Harry has a vision of Voldemort killing Goblins, including Griphook, and learns that the Dark Lord has discovered the theft. Harry also learns there is a Horcrux at Hogwarts, that is in some way related to Rowena Ravenclaw. The trio apparate into Hogsmeade, which sets off an alarm. They are rescued by Aberforth Dumbledore, who instructs a portrait of his younger sister, Ariana, to fetch Neville Longbottom who leads the trio through a secret passageway into Hogwarts.

Snape hears of Harry's return and informs staff and students of the severe punishment for aiding Harry. Harry confronts Snape, who flees after Minerva McGonagall challenges him to a duel. McGonagall gathers the community of Hogwarts to prepare for battle. At Luna Lovegood's insistence, Harry speaks to Helena Ravenclaw. She reveals that Voldemort performed "dark magic" on her mother's diadem, which is in the Room of Requirement. Ron and Hermione go to the Chamber of Secrets, where Hermione destroys the Horcrux cup with a Basilisk fang. In the Room of Requirement, Draco Malfoy, Gregory Goyle and Blaise Zabini attack Harry, but Ron and Hermione intervene. Goyle casts a Fiendfyre curse and is burned to death, but Malfoy and Zabini are saved by the trio before destroying the Ravenclaw diadem. As the school is attacked by Voldemort's forces, Harry, during a trip into Voldemort's mind, realizes that his snake, Nagini, is the final Horcrux. After entering the boathouse, the trio witness Voldemort telling Snape that the Elder Wand cannot serve him until Snape dies, and has Nagini kill Snape. Before dying, Snape tells Harry to take his memories to the Pensieve. Meanwhile, in the chaos, Fred, Remus, and Tonks are killed.

Harry learns from Snape's memories that Snape loved Harry's mother Lily, but despised his father James. Following her death, Snape agreed with Dumbledore to protect Harry from Voldemort out of his love for Lily. He also learns that Dumbledore's death at Snape's hands was planned between them. Harry learns that he became a Horcrux when Voldemort originally failed to kill him and that he must die in order to destroy the piece of soul within him. Harry goes to die at the hands of Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest. Voldemort casts the Killing Curse upon Harry, who finds himself in a strange limbo where Dumbledore's spirit meets him and explains that the part of Voldemort within Harry was killed by Voldemort's own curse. Harry decides to return to his body to face Voldermort for the final time.

Voldemort announces Harry's death to everyone at Hogwarts, and that anyone who defies him will be killed. As Neville gives a speech, Harry reveals that he is alive. Neville draws forth the Sword of Gryffindor from the Sorting Hat, and as Harry begins his duel with Voldemort across the school, Neville decapitates Nagini, leaving Voldemort mortal. Voldemort is killed as the Elder Wand returns to Harry. During this time, Molly disarms and kills Bellatrix. After the battle, Harry explains that the Elder Wand had recognised him as its master because he had disarmed Draco at Malfoy Manor, who in turn had disarmed its previous owner, Dumbledore. Harry snaps the Elder Wand, rejecting its power. Nineteen years later, Harry and Ginny Potter, along with Ron and Hermione Weasley, watch proudly as their children leave for Hogwarts.

A Cinderella Story

Samantha "Sam" Montgomery (Hilary Duff) lives in the San Fernando Valley with her widowed father Hal (Whip Hubley), who runs a popular sports-themed diner. Hal meets and eventually marries a vain, self-absorbed woman named Fiona (Jennifer Coolidge). When the 1994 Northridge earthquake strikes, Hal is killed when the roof caves in on him. As he supposedly left no will, Fiona receives all of his belongings, including the diner. She reveals her true hatred for Sam, and banishes her to the attic room, spoils her own daughters, and forces Sam into becoming little more than a servant.

Eight years later, Sam is employed to work at the diner and tormented by Fiona and her two dim-witted daughters, Brianna and Gabriella who aren't really as popular, or as well liked as they think they are. Fiona is so self-absorbed that she uses more water than necessary despite the fact that the San Fernando Valley is in the middle of a drought. Brianna and Gabriella constantly try to play up to all of the popular students. A running gag that occurs throughout the film shows Sam's stepsisters taking lessons in Synchronized Swimming for which they are found to have absolutely no talent. Sam struggles to cope at North Valley High School (despite maintaining straight "A's"), where queen bee cheerleader Shelby Cummings (Julie Gonzalo) also torments her, like her stepmother and stepsisters, and calls her names such as "Diner Girl."

Sam in her online pen pal "Nomad," who shares her dream to attend Princeton University. Little does Sam know, "Nomad"'s true identity is Austin Ames (Chad Michael Murray), the popular - yet unhappy - quarterback of the school's football team and Shelby's boyfriend (although he breaks up with her, she chooses to ignore that). "Nomad" proposes that they meet in person at the school's Halloween dance. Initially reluctant, Samantha is convinced by her aspiring-actor friend Carter Ferrell (Dan Byrd) to go to the dance and meet her mysterious online friend.

On the night of the dance, Fiona forces Sam to work the night shift at the diner, then leaves to drive Brianna and Gabriella to the dance. Carter and Rhonda (Regina King), Sam's amiable co-worker at the diner, take Sam to find a costume for the dance. Sam, wearing a mask and a beautiful white dress, meets "Nomad" at the dance, and is surprised and shocked to learn that he is Austin. The two decide to leave the party to walk alone and get to know each other. After sharing a romantic dance together, Sam and Austin begin to fall in love. But just as Austin is about to kiss her, Sam's cell phone alarm goes off, warning her to return to the diner before Fiona comes back at midnight. She leaves without revealing her identity to Austin, and drops her phone on her way out.

Austin picks it up and begins a desperate search to figure out who his "Cinderella" really is, the result being that every girl in school claims to be the mysterious owner of the phone. Carter, dressed as Zorro, rescues Shelby from the unwanted amorous advances of Austin's friend, David (Brad Bufanda). Shelby falls for "Zorro" not knowing who he is and Carter resolves to tell her who he really is the next day.

Later, Brianna and Gabriella discover Sam's emails to Austin and realize that Sam is Cinderella. They later present them to Shelby and convince her that Sam persuaded him to leave Shelby to be with her. To retaliate, Shelby, Brianna and Gabriella perform a mean-spirited skit at a school pep rally where the emails are read aloud and Sam's identity is revealed to Austin. Carter even experiences some humiliation when he sees Shelby and her friends lounging by the pool. He reveals that it was he who was dressed as "Zorro" and Shelby, showing her true colors, denies that anything ever happened between them at the dance.

Sam, who (like Austin) had been accepted to Princeton University, was then duped by Fiona into believing she was rejected. Shortly after, fed up with Fiona's persistent emotional abuse and her schoolwide humiliation, Sam confronts Fiona about the mistreatment she's given her, quits her job at the diner and moves out to live with Rhonda. Simultaneously, Rhonda and the rest of the diner's staff quit along with Sam, having put up with Fiona's abuse for Sam's sake all those years. The customers, who watched the entire scene, leave the diner as well.

Before a school football game, Sam confronts Austin about his cowardice and lies. Before the final play of the game, he sees Sam making her way out of the stands, and finally faces up to his father that he wants to attend Princeton rather than simply play football all his life. He hands his helmet to Ryan, then chases after Sam and apologizes. She accepts his apology and they share their first kiss as rain falls over the drought-plagued valley.
Soon after, Sam finds her father's will hidden in her childhood fairytale book, which stated that all of his belongings would go to her. Sam sells her step-family's fancy cars so that she can pay for college, and Fiona, who signed the will as a witness, is arrested after being chased through the front yard of what is now Sam's house by the police.

Fiona and her daughters are made to work off the money they stole from Sam at the diner, which is restored to the way it was before Hal's death by its new owners, Sam and Rhonda. Sam then finds out that she was, in fact, accepted by Princeton after her acceptance letter was found in the garbage by her stepsisters.
Things also work out in the end for Carter as he makes a commercial for acne medication. After being dumped by Austin, Shelby then makes a play for Carter only to be spurned in favor of Astrid, the school's DJ. Sam and Austin begin a relationship and attend Princeton together (After Austin's Dad approves his son's choice). The film ends as they drive away together torwards New Jersey.

Ramona and Beezus

Movies
The film opens with adventurous and creative third grader Ramona Quimby (Joey King) playing on the monkey bars during recess along with her best friend, Howie Kemp (Jason Spevack). Ramona echoes Howie's name as if she were above the Grand Canyon. When Ramona becomes frightened by the height of the monkey bars, she sticks her feet in two rings and lets go with her hands. Howie runs to find their teacher, Mrs. Meacham (Sandra Oh), while Ramona yells for help.

Dorothy Quimby (Bridget Moynahan), Ramona's mother, asks Ramona to set the table and add another plate for Aunt Beatrice (Ginnifer Goodwin). Ramona's older sister, Beatrice, nicknamed Beezus (Selena Gomez), takes Ramona's task and does so herself.

Report cards are in and Robert Quimby (John Corbett), Ramona's father, inspects Beezus' card, which is overall good. When he asks Ramona about hers, it seems that she hid it in the freezer and hesitantly decides to give it to her father. When Aunt Bea arrives, she finds Ramona sitting in a tree branch. Meanwhile, Howie tells Ramona that his uncle, Hobart (Josh Duhamel), is coming to live with him. It is revealed that Bea and Hobart had feelings for each other when they were younger.

The next day at school, Ramona is trying to describe something that happened to her the following week. She says that construction workers came to her home and broke a big hole in the side of her house for a new room. Although this is true, Mrs. Meacham does not believe her, despite Ramona's claim that Howie did it, which Howie denies.

The following day, Ramona's father loses his job and they are in debt of their home. Ramona overhears her parents' conversation and decides she's going to sell lemonade. Beezus sees Henry Huggins (Hutch Dano), the paper boy, and spits lemonade in his face due to a fly landing in her glass of lemonade and gets angry at Ramona. After that mistake, she decides to sell "delishus car wash $20", but that backfires also.

After accidentally painting Hobart's 1996 Range Rover, she retires. The next day, Ramona's father accidentally gives her a raw egg in her lunch, and after cracking the egg on her head, gets it in her hair. Her teacher tries to take the raw egg out of her hair, but most of it remains stuck in her hair. Instead of the photographer saying "cheese", he says "peas", causing Ramona to interrupt with a great big "Ew!", ruining her portrait.

The next day in music class, Ramona throws up on the drums, causing her to be picked up by her father. She then stays at home with Beezus. After trying to make dinner for her parents, the pan catches fire. Ramona interrupts Beezus on the phone with Henry, so Beezus yells at Ramona for always being a little pest and ruining her love life. Shocked, Ramona questions Beezus that she has a love life, but neither of them realize that Henry is still on the phone and has overheard their whole conversation.

When Ramona goes to take her cat, Picky-Picky, out from the basement later that night, she sees him lying in his basket, dead. Ramona runs upstairs to tell Beezus to come to the basement. They then hold a private funeral in their backyard. In their prayers, they say that Picky-Picky will always be with them. The girls become closer and nicer to each other.

That night Ramona's father returns from a job interview and happily tells the family he got the job, but would have to relocate the family to eastern Oregon and sell the house. Soon after, the family begins to prepare their home for an open house.

While touching up the garden, Ramona reluctantly helps and grabs the water hose. While doing this, she accidentally squirts Hobart, who is next door with his family in their backyard. Hobart, believing Bea had purposely shot him with the water hose, retaliates by tossing a bucket of water on Bea, and a water fight ensues between both neighbors. During the water wars, Ramona whispers to Bea and the family retreats, only to sneak into their neighbor's backyard to set off the sprinklers. After their neighbors admit defeat, Ramona's father tries to turn off the sprinklers, but breaks the shut off valve and the pipes of the sprinklers begin to burst, flooding the backyard. As the backyard fills with water, a shoebox in a ziploc bag pops up from underground. Immediately knowing the contents of the box, Hobart rushes to retrieve it. He calls out to Bea and shows her the keepsakes from their relationship he stored inside the shoebox. Hobart pulls out a ring with a large, purple gem and gets down on one knee and proposes to Bea. She hesitantly accepts and they kiss passionately under the water still spewing from the sprinklers.

Both families head into the neighbor's home to dry off, as the open house is occurring at Ramona's house. Furious that her aunt broke her promise not to get "reeled in", Ramona rushes to her house and seeks solace in the attic. The beams are unable to support her weight and break, leaving Ramona's legs dangling from the roof during the open house.

After the open house clears out Ramona's mother tends to her scratched up knees and legs in the bathroom. Ramona's father, tired of her antics, walks in and scolds her for not being mature enough. Feeling she's not wanted, Ramona goes to her room and begins packing to run away, declaring she's going to be gone "forever". Her mother tries to talk her out of it, but then devises a plan and helps her pack up a suitcase.

Ramona, with her heavy suitcase in hand, heads out of the house with no one to stop her. As she is walking, she imagines traveling to far places, such as New York City, Paris, and Egypt. She finally comes to a bus stop and sits atop her suitcase. It shifts under her weight, so she opens it discovering a bowling ball and a book her father would draw doodles of Ramona and her mischievous ways. As the bus pulls up, she hears her mother's voice over a baby monitor inside the suitcase. The bus takes off without Ramona, revealing her family in their car searching for her. As the family is reunited, Ramona's mother tells her she purposely packed the bowling ball to make her suitcase heavy, so she could not have gone far.

As Aunt Bea and Hobart's wedding begins, Ramona and Beezus clasp hands as they head down the aisle as bridesmaids. During the ceremony, Howie fumbles his role as ringbearer by dropping the rings. Ramona quickly finds the rings so the ceremony can continue. Afterwards, during the reception, Beezus and Henry share a kiss and then dance. Ramona's father comes across a better job as an art teacher at Ramona's school. She excitedly thanks her teacher, telling her the family will not have to move after all, to which her teacher sarcastically replies that she is looking forward to having Ramona for the rest of the year. Before Hobart and Aunt Bea leave for their honeymoon in Alaska, Ramona runs outside to Hobart's painted Range Rover to give a gift to her Aunt Beatrice a locket with her school picture.

Book
Beatrice "Beezus" Quimby is a girl who has to endure the antics of her imaginative younger sister who scribbles in a library book that Beezus then has to purchase. When Ramona ruins Beezus' checker game with Beezus' friend Henry Huggins and locks Ribsy, Henry's dog, in the bathroom, Henry leaves and Beezus is furious with her sister. Ramona also invites numerous friends over without her mother's permission because she wants to have a party. She also takes one bite from a substantial amount of apples because she was once told that the first bite tastes the best. Later in the story, she ruins Beezus' birthday cakes. She destroys one birthday cake and when Mrs. Quimby endeavours to bake another, Ramona manages to ruin that as well.

Beezus often feels guilty because she knows she is supposed to love Ramona, but has a hard time with that. While she tries to read to her and care for her, Beezus often gets mad about the things Ramona does. Frustrated, Beezus asks their mother if she was like Ramona when she was younger. Their mother replies that yes, and she was different in some ways, such as being quieter. This pleases Beezus, who dislikes Ramona's tendency to be very noisy. Then Mrs. Quimby explains how she and her sister, Beezus and Ramona's Aunt Beatrice, were also very different as children. Beezus begins to think about her mom and aunt, and how much they love each other, and realizes that Ramona is not such a bad little sister after all.
