Two weeks ago Rebecca Black was your average thirteen-year-old. Today her insanely addictive tune “Friday” has surpassed 43 million views on YouTube and has sold more than 37,000 copies on iTunes. Her first dose of life in the spotlight hasn’t been easy for the aspiring singer: She has faced some harsh remarks in response to the cookie-cutter nature of her viral hit. On the plus side, she's appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, climbed her way onto the Billboard Top 100 Chart, and garnered the support of music moguls like Simon Cowell and Lady Gaga. The pop-star-in-training took a break from recording in the studio to chat with Teen Vogue about Justin Bieber, her typical Friday night, and why she just might be the next Taylor Swift. 

What have the last two weeks been like for you? 

It's been an emotional roller coaster. I’ve had my ups and downs, but this experience is unreal—I mean, Nick Jonas sang my song! 

Why do you think so many people have connected with “Friday”? 

I honestly couldn't tell you. I think it's a typical pop song that a bunch of people could sing. I don't know what was so special about it that made it go viral. 

What did you first think of the lyrics for the song? 

They were simple, but catchy and clean. I thought it could really go big.

Favorite cereal? 

I'm not a breakfast person, but I like Cocoa Pebbles. 

Favorite seat in the car: front or back? 

I like the backseat so you can talk to all your friends without having to turn around. 

Favorite day of the week? 

Friday, just like I say in the song! 

What's your ideal Friday night? 

Right now it would be to get some sleep, but typically I just want to hang out with my best friend, watch movies, and be a dork. 

And who's your Friday-night dream date?

Justin Bieber. 

Did you watch him on YouTube before he went mainstream? 

I had seen some of his videos before he was “The King.” I wasn't a huge Belieber, but I thought he was talented. 

What are some of your favorite viral videos? 

I’m a big fan of Greyson Chance. I watched his first video like 20 times. He's adorable! It’s so cool that he was at a school talent show, and it just went viral like that. 

What artists inspire you? 

I mean there some people who have had a little jump start in the business, like Miley Cyrus, but watching Justin Bieber become big when he was so young was insane. I never thought I could be anything like him, and now people are comparing me to him! 

Would you say you’re more like Selena, Miley, or Taylor Swift? 

People tell me I sound like Taylor Swift. Once you hear my sound without any adjustments—just my raw voice—it’s unique. 

Do you watch American Idol? 

I watch every episode. I’ve always considered auditioning when I turn fifteen. 

How have your friends reacted to your success? 

They are so happy for me, but school has been really different. I get a lot more attention, random people are coming up and saying, “hi,” like they've known me for years. It’s weird. 

It was pretty brave of you to join Twitter after some of the harsh comments you talked about getting on YouTube, what made you decide to do it? 

I was really pissed off that there were all these impersonators. They were making me look bad, so I wanted to show everyone that those people weren't me. At first I had to quit my social networking sites because of what was happening. Now Twitter is my little place. 

I know you’re donating some of your earnings to charity, but what's the first thing you are going to buy for yourself? 

I'll probably buy a bunch of stuff from Forever 21. I really don't have a lot of clothes. 

Describe your personal style. 

I change my style a lot. Sometimes I feel like going totally boho, but other times, like now, I’m wearing heels and a trench coat, with a chic dress. I love Betsey Johnson. 

Did you want to be famous? 

I thought it must have its perks and cons. But I'm only thirteen, and I think every young girl wants to be famous at some point. 

If you could do it all over again, would you? 

Definitely.

Wah, ini baru kreatif! Walaupun sering kepikiran, untuk membuat something kreatif dengan daun yang sudah tak terpakai, akhirnya sebuah graphic design studio bernama Eding: Post sudah mengumumkan kalo mereka mengeluarkan “Leaf Letter” yang unik banget. Di project ini Eding: Post juga berkolaborasi dengan penerbit buku, Neo Green. Selain mengeluarkan kertas surat daun, ternyata banyak juga stationary dengan bentuk daun. Ah, rasanya pengen dibeli semua deh! Hebatnya, setelah debut perdananya di DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2010, sekarang produk ini akan dilempar ke seluruh dunia. Wah.. semoga aja cepat masuk di Indonesia ya. "Till the World Ends" is a song by American recording artist Britney Spears. It was released as the second single from her upcoming seventh studio album, Femme Fatale. "Till the World Ends" was written by Alexander Kronlund, Kesha, Dr. Luke and Max Martin, while being produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Billboard. The main inspiration of the song for Kesha was imagining Spears and any other female musician touring the world. "Till the World Ends" was leaked on March 3, 2011, and Spears premiered it the following day at Ryan Seacrest's radio show. Musically, the song is a dance-oriented number with a chant-like chorus and breathy vocals, and lyrics that talk about dancing until the end of the world.
