Confessions of A Teenage Drama Queen
Mary "Lola" Cep (Lindsay Lohan) is a 15-year-old girl who grew up in New York City and wants desperately to be a famous Broadway actress. Lola narrates the story. Much to her chagrin, she moves with her family to the suburbs of Dellwood, New Jersey, but she confidently tells the audience, "A legend is about to be born. That legend would be me."
At school, Lola makes friends with an unpopular girl named Ella Gerard (Alison Pill), who shares her love for the rock band Sidarthur. Lola idolizes the band's lead singer Stu Wolff (Adam Garcia). She also meets Sam, a cute boy who takes a liking to her, and makes enemies with Carla Santini (Megan Fox), the most popular girl in school.
When Lola auditions for the school play, a modernized musical version of Pygmalion called "Eliza Rocks", she is chosen over Carla to play Eliza, and Carla promises to make her life miserable. Lola also beats Carla on a dancing video game at an arcade, where Carla reveals that she has tickets to the farewell concert of Sidarthar, who recently decided to break up. Afraid of being one-upped by Carla, Lola falsely claims that she and Ella have tickets too. She loses her chance to buy tickets and new clothes when her mother takes away her allowance, and the concert is sold out by the time she persuades Ella to pay for the tickets. But Lola explains that they can buy tickets from a scalper, and she gets Sam to sneak Eliza's dress out of the costume room for her to wear at the concert.
On the night of the concert, Lola and Ella take a train to New York City, but Lola loses the money for the tickets and her plan to sneak into the concert doesn't work. Lola and Ella finally give up and walk through the city to Stu's after-show party. When they get there, Stu stumbles drunkenly out of the building and passes out in an alley. The two girls take him to a diner to sober him up, but he gets in trouble and they end up at a police station, where Lola gives her father's New York City address.
At this point, Lola's dishonesty becomes a problem. When she met Ella, she tried to impress her by telling her a dramatic story about her father dying years earlier. Ella highly values honesty, so she becomes infuriated when she discovers that Lola's story was a lie. After Lola's father arrives and they explain what happened, Stu gratefully takes them all back to the party, where Ella forgives Lola for lying and the two girls see Carla, who sees them as well and looks upset. Lola talks with Stu about his work, but is disappointed to discover that he is a drunk.
Back at school, Carla humiliates Lola by denying that she saw Lola or Ella at the party and calling Lola a liar. None of the other students believe Lola's story about being arrested with Stu and leaving her necklace at his house.
Afterward, Lola goes home, depressed, and refuses to perform in the play, but she is spurred on by Ella's encouragement and arrives backstage just in time to prevent Carla from taking over her part. As she is about to go on stage, her mother wishes her good luck and finally calls her by her nickname "Lola". The modernist interpretation of My Fair Lady (Eliza Rocks) ensues. After a great performance that brings a standing ovation, the cast goes to an after-party at Carla's house, where Stu arrives to see Lola. Carla tries to save herself from humiliation by saying he is there to see her, but is proved wrong when Stu gives Lola her necklace in front of everyone. As Carla's lies become apparent, she backs away from the crowd on the verge of tears and falls into a fountain, greeted by everyone's laughter. In a conciliatory gesture, Lola helps her up, and Carla accepts defeat. After dancing with Stu, Lola dances with Sam and they eventually share a kiss.

Seperti Bintang

Pedal Powered Street Books Library
Menariknya, perpustakaan berbentuk sepeda ini akan berkeliling, and offers those who live on Portland’s streets the opportunity to read everything from classic titles to modern hits. Seperti yang kita tau, kebanyakan perpustakaan umum memang mengharuskan para member untuk membuat kartu perpustakaan, yang mana wajib mencantumkan alamat rumah. Nah, didasari hal inilah, agar para tuna wisma tetap bisa membaca buku (selain di perpustakaan umum), Street Books pun diciptakan oleh Laura. And it’s a routine for Laura to visit Portland street with her mobile library.
May be a small effort, but that does count for humanity and nature.
Geek Charming
Dylan Schoenfield is a snobby, rich and self-centered 16-year-old girl who goes to the upscale Woodlands Academy. She has the coolest boyfriend, the most popular friends, and is determined to win the title of "Blossom Queen". Josh Rosen is an aspiring film geek with a crush on Amy, a former friend of Dylan. He is also the president of the school's Film Club.
Josh wants to make a documentary for the Puget Sound Film Festival, and decides to give himself a challenge. His new topic: popularity. His subject: Dylan Schoenfield herself. Dylan, delighted to be in a movie, takes the opportunity; believing that with "her" movie, she could be crowned Blossom Queen. She instantly starts showing off and puts on an over-the-top, diva-like attitude. However, this leads to Josh "firing" her, having a heated argument about "whose" movie it is. After a while, Josh reconsiders her as his film subject after she sees the sci-fi movie "Flight of the Navigator" and she joins his club. Josh teaches Dylan a lesson about how the world doesn't revolve around her.
After the movie, Dylan invites Josh to her house, where they make an "everything-but-the-kitchen-sink sundae". While Dylan leaves briefly to go get something, Josh notices a wall of pictures. One of which has Dylan's mom in it, crowned Blossom Queen. When Dylan comes back he asks her about it. Dylan says that her mom was Blossom Queen back in the olden days. Her mom passed away when she was in elementary school. She also admits that she feels more connected to her mom when accomplishing the same things she did.
The next day before school, Dylan's contacts fall down the drain, so she wears her nerdy black-and-brown glasses. At first she tries her best to make do with out them, but when she gets a note in class from her boyfriend, she puts them on to read and then her secret is revealed. Everyone laughs. The note said that her boyfriend was breaking up with her. At lunch she wants Josh to sit with her. Josh refuses and Dylan threatens him ending in or else. Josh counters, saying "Or else what? From letting me not sit with the populars? Your seat has already been taken!" Dylan looks up and sees no room for her. Asher, now her ex-boyfriend, had given her chair to her biggest rival. Dylan walks off again crying. Josh asks his friends what's wrong with Dylan. Josh's friend tells him that Asher just broke up with her. Instantly, Josh feels guilty.
Josh finishes his movie and shows it to the public. Dylan walks in and sits down. She expects the movie to help her win blossom queen, but she is totally disgusted with the movie having only seen 3 minutes of it. When the audience laughs at Dylan's behavior towards the beginning of Josh's film, dubbed "The Popularity Project", Dylan runs out crying as Josh runs after her. Dylan tells Josh that he just doesn't get it. That he needs to leave her alone. She walks away crying. It is revealed that the movie actually contains a compliment to Dylan at the end that Dylan doesn't see. Dylan has spent her whole middle school life erasing her "geek" social status, replacing it with her current "popular, perfect girl" status.
The next morning, Amy shows up at Dylan's house and they become friends again. She gives Dylan Josh's film and tells her to watch it. At the Spring Formal, Josh hears Dylan's speech. They share a kiss and begin to date. Josh wins the film festival and Dylan wins the title of "Blossom Queen", like her mother did before her.
In the end, Dylan and Josh apologize for the names they called each other at first. They kiss again with Josh's jacket covering their faces. As they walk away, it's revealed there will be a sequel around the future. Throughout the movie, Dylan and Josh narrate from aside.

The Hunger Games
Movies
At an unidentified future date, the nation of Panem has risen out of the ruins of what was once known as North America. Due to an unsuccessful uprising by the districts of Panem, a raffle (known as the "reaping") is held to choose one boy and one girl, aged 12–18, from each of the twelve districts to participate in the Hunger Games, a competition in which each contestant, or tribute, battles until only one is left. The winner receives honor, gifts, and enough food and supplies to never worry about anything ever again. The Hunger Games are a yearly reminder to the 12 districts of the Capitol's authority, and punishment for their rebellion over 70 years ago, in which the 13th district was supposedly destroyed.
In District 12, sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) cares for her mother (Paula Malcomson) and her sister Primrose "Prim" (Willow Shields) since her father died in a mine accident when she was 11. Each year, since the age of 12, Katniss' name has been placed in the reaping more than once. In return for taking this extra annual risk, she receives extra grain and oil for her family. In addition, Katniss has been illegally hunting for food outside the boundary fences of District 12 with her friend Gale (Liam Hemsworth), whose father died in the same mining accident.
Prim, now age 12, has her name placed in the reaping for the first time—only once—and it is unexpectedly drawn. Katniss volunteers to replace her sister in the Games. She competes against other tributes, including Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), the male tribute from District 12, who has secretly loved Katniss since childhood and who once showed her a kindness she could never forget.
Before the Hunger Games begin, she is given a stylist, Cinna (Lenny Kravitz), and a prep team to help her make a good impression with potential sponsors. Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), a drunk and the only living victor from District 12, mentors both Katniss and Peeta before and during the Hunger Games. Once in the arena, Katniss must rely on her hunting skills, stealth, speed, and wits in order to survive. She also has to fight her anger for the Capitol and 'put on a good show' in order to receive food and aid from sponsors.
Books
The Hunger Games takes place after the destruction of North America by some unknown apocalyptic event, in a nation known as Panem. Panem consists of a wealthy Capitol and twelve surrounding, poorer districts. District 12, where the book begins, is located in the coal-rich region that was formerly Appalachia.
As punishment for a previous rebellion against the Capitol in which a 13th district was destroyed, one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 from each district are selected by annual lottery to participate in the Hunger Games, an event in which the participants (or "tributes") must fight in an outdoor arena controlled by the Capitol, until only one remains. The story follows 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen, a girl from District 12 who volunteers for the 74th annual Hunger Games in place of her younger sister, Primrose. Also selected from District 12 is Peeta Mellark, a baker's son whom Katniss knows from school, who once gave her bread when her family was starving.
Katniss and Peeta are taken to the Capitol where their drunken mentor, Haymitch Abernathy, victor of the 50th Hunger Games, instructs them to watch and learn the talents of the other tributes. They are then publicly displayed to the Capitol audience in a televised session with interviewer Caesar Flickerman. During this time, Peeta reveals on-air his long-time unrequited love for Katniss. Katniss believes this to be a ploy to gain audience support for the Games, which can be crucial for survival, as audience members are encouraged to send gifts like food, medicine, and tools to favored tributes during the Games. The Games begin with 11 of the 24 tributes dying in the first day, while Katniss relies on her well-practiced hunting and outdoor skills to survive. As the games continue, the tribute death toll increases. A few days later, Katniss develops an alliance with Rue, a 12-year-old girl from the agricultural District 11 who reminds Katniss of her sister Prim. The alliance is short-lived: Rue is killed by another tribute. At Rue's request Katniss sings to her, then spreads flowers over her body as a sign of respect--and of disgust towards the Capitol.
Supposedly due to Katniss and Peeta's beloved image in the minds of the audience as "star-crossed lovers", a rule change is announced midway through the Games, stating that two tributes from the same district can win the Hunger Games as a pair. Upon hearing this, Katniss searches for Peeta and eventually finds him wounded. As she nurses him back to health, she acts the part of a young girl falling in love to gain more favor with the audience and, consequently, gifts from her sponsors. When the couple are finally the last two tributes, the Gamemakers reverse the rule change in an attempt to force them into a dramatic finale, where one must kill the other to win. Katniss, knowing that the Gamemakers would rather have two victors than none, retrieves highly poisonous berries known as "nightlock" from her pouch and offers some to Peeta. Upon realizing that Katniss and Peeta intend to commit suicide, the Gamemakers announce that both will be the victors of the 74th Hunger Games.
Although she survives the ordeal in the arena and is treated to a hero's welcome in the Capitol, Katniss is warned by Haymitch that she has now become a political target after defying her society's authoritarian leaders so publicly. Afterwards, Peeta is heartbroken when he learns that Katniss's actions in the arena were part of a calculated ploy to earn sympathy from the audience. However, Katniss is unsure of her own feelings, and realizes that she is dreading the moment when she and Peeta will go their separate ways.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2
As Lord Voldemort retrieves the Elder Wand from Albus Dumbledore's grave, Severus Snape has become Hogwarts' headmaster. Meanwhile, after burying Dobby, Harry Potter speaks with Griphook about breaking into Bellatrix Lestrange's vault at Gringotts bank, suspecting that a Horcrux may be hidden there. Griphook agrees to take Harry, Ron, and Hermione to the vault in exchange for the Sword of Gryffindor. Harry asks Ollivander, a wandmaker, to identify two wands they took from Malfoy Manor. Ollivander says they belonged to Bellatrix and Draco Malfoy, but Malfoy's wand has changed its allegiance to Harry.
At Bellatrix's vault, Harry discovers that the Horcrux is Helga Hufflepuff's Cup. He obtains the cup but Griphook takes the sword and abandons the trio, leaving them cornered by the alerted security. However, the three release the dragon guardian and flee. Harry has a vision of Voldemort killing Goblins, including Griphook, and learns that the Dark Lord has discovered the theft. Harry also learns there is a Horcrux at Hogwarts, that is in some way related to Rowena Ravenclaw. The trio apparate into Hogsmeade, which sets off an alarm. They are rescued by Aberforth Dumbledore, who instructs a portrait of his younger sister, Ariana, to fetch Neville Longbottom who leads the trio through a secret passageway into Hogwarts.
Snape hears of Harry's return and informs staff and students of the severe punishment for aiding Harry. Harry confronts Snape, who flees after Minerva McGonagall challenges him to a duel. McGonagall gathers the community of Hogwarts to prepare for battle. At Luna Lovegood's insistence, Harry speaks to Helena Ravenclaw. She reveals that Voldemort performed "dark magic" on her mother's diadem, which is in the Room of Requirement. Ron and Hermione go to the Chamber of Secrets, where Hermione destroys the Horcrux cup with a Basilisk fang. In the Room of Requirement, Draco Malfoy, Gregory Goyle and Blaise Zabini attack Harry, but Ron and Hermione intervene. Goyle casts a Fiendfyre curse and is burned to death, but Malfoy and Zabini are saved by the trio before destroying the Ravenclaw diadem. As the school is attacked by Voldemort's forces, Harry, during a trip into Voldemort's mind, realizes that his snake, Nagini, is the final Horcrux. After entering the boathouse, the trio witness Voldemort telling Snape that the Elder Wand cannot serve him until Snape dies, and has Nagini kill Snape. Before dying, Snape tells Harry to take his memories to the Pensieve. Meanwhile, in the chaos, Fred, Remus, and Tonks are killed.
Harry learns from Snape's memories that Snape loved Harry's mother Lily, but despised his father James. Following her death, Snape agreed with Dumbledore to protect Harry from Voldemort out of his love for Lily. He also learns that Dumbledore's death at Snape's hands was planned between them. Harry learns that he became a Horcrux when Voldemort originally failed to kill him and that he must die in order to destroy the piece of soul within him. Harry goes to die at the hands of Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest. Voldemort casts the Killing Curse upon Harry, who finds himself in a strange limbo where Dumbledore's spirit meets him and explains that the part of Voldemort within Harry was killed by Voldemort's own curse. Harry decides to return to his body to face Voldermort for the final time.
Voldemort announces Harry's death to everyone at Hogwarts, and that anyone who defies him will be killed. As Neville gives a speech, Harry reveals that he is alive. Neville draws forth the Sword of Gryffindor from the Sorting Hat, and as Harry begins his duel with Voldemort across the school, Neville decapitates Nagini, leaving Voldemort mortal. Voldemort is killed as the Elder Wand returns to Harry. During this time, Molly disarms and kills Bellatrix. After the battle, Harry explains that the Elder Wand had recognised him as its master because he had disarmed Draco at Malfoy Manor, who in turn had disarmed its previous owner, Dumbledore. Harry snaps the Elder Wand, rejecting its power. Nineteen years later, Harry and Ginny Potter, along with Ron and Hermione Weasley, watch proudly as their children leave for Hogwarts.

Ramona and Beezus
Movies
The film opens with adventurous and creative third grader Ramona Quimby (Joey King) playing on the monkey bars during recess along with her best friend, Howie Kemp (Jason Spevack). Ramona echoes Howie's name as if she were above the Grand Canyon. When Ramona becomes frightened by the height of the monkey bars, she sticks her feet in two rings and lets go with her hands. Howie runs to find their teacher, Mrs. Meacham (Sandra Oh), while Ramona yells for help.
Dorothy Quimby (Bridget Moynahan), Ramona's mother, asks Ramona to set the table and add another plate for Aunt Beatrice (Ginnifer Goodwin). Ramona's older sister, Beatrice, nicknamed Beezus (Selena Gomez), takes Ramona's task and does so herself.
Report cards are in and Robert Quimby (John Corbett), Ramona's father, inspects Beezus' card, which is overall good. When he asks Ramona about hers, it seems that she hid it in the freezer and hesitantly decides to give it to her father. When Aunt Bea arrives, she finds Ramona sitting in a tree branch. Meanwhile, Howie tells Ramona that his uncle, Hobart (Josh Duhamel), is coming to live with him. It is revealed that Bea and Hobart had feelings for each other when they were younger.
The next day at school, Ramona is trying to describe something that happened to her the following week. She says that construction workers came to her home and broke a big hole in the side of her house for a new room. Although this is true, Mrs. Meacham does not believe her, despite Ramona's claim that Howie did it, which Howie denies.
The following day, Ramona's father loses his job and they are in debt of their home. Ramona overhears her parents' conversation and decides she's going to sell lemonade. Beezus sees Henry Huggins (Hutch Dano), the paper boy, and spits lemonade in his face due to a fly landing in her glass of lemonade and gets angry at Ramona. After that mistake, she decides to sell "delishus car wash $20", but that backfires also.
After accidentally painting Hobart's 1996 Range Rover, she retires. The next day, Ramona's father accidentally gives her a raw egg in her lunch, and after cracking the egg on her head, gets it in her hair. Her teacher tries to take the raw egg out of her hair, but most of it remains stuck in her hair. Instead of the photographer saying "cheese", he says "peas", causing Ramona to interrupt with a great big "Ew!", ruining her portrait.
The next day in music class, Ramona throws up on the drums, causing her to be picked up by her father. She then stays at home with Beezus. After trying to make dinner for her parents, the pan catches fire. Ramona interrupts Beezus on the phone with Henry, so Beezus yells at Ramona for always being a little pest and ruining her love life. Shocked, Ramona questions Beezus that she has a love life, but neither of them realize that Henry is still on the phone and has overheard their whole conversation.
When Ramona goes to take her cat, Picky-Picky, out from the basement later that night, she sees him lying in his basket, dead. Ramona runs upstairs to tell Beezus to come to the basement. They then hold a private funeral in their backyard. In their prayers, they say that Picky-Picky will always be with them. The girls become closer and nicer to each other.
That night Ramona's father returns from a job interview and happily tells the family he got the job, but would have to relocate the family to eastern Oregon and sell the house. Soon after, the family begins to prepare their home for an open house.
While touching up the garden, Ramona reluctantly helps and grabs the water hose. While doing this, she accidentally squirts Hobart, who is next door with his family in their backyard. Hobart, believing Bea had purposely shot him with the water hose, retaliates by tossing a bucket of water on Bea, and a water fight ensues between both neighbors. During the water wars, Ramona whispers to Bea and the family retreats, only to sneak into their neighbor's backyard to set off the sprinklers. After their neighbors admit defeat, Ramona's father tries to turn off the sprinklers, but breaks the shut off valve and the pipes of the sprinklers begin to burst, flooding the backyard. As the backyard fills with water, a shoebox in a ziploc bag pops up from underground. Immediately knowing the contents of the box, Hobart rushes to retrieve it. He calls out to Bea and shows her the keepsakes from their relationship he stored inside the shoebox. Hobart pulls out a ring with a large, purple gem and gets down on one knee and proposes to Bea. She hesitantly accepts and they kiss passionately under the water still spewing from the sprinklers.
Both families head into the neighbor's home to dry off, as the open house is occurring at Ramona's house. Furious that her aunt broke her promise not to get "reeled in", Ramona rushes to her house and seeks solace in the attic. The beams are unable to support her weight and break, leaving Ramona's legs dangling from the roof during the open house.
After the open house clears out Ramona's mother tends to her scratched up knees and legs in the bathroom. Ramona's father, tired of her antics, walks in and scolds her for not being mature enough. Feeling she's not wanted, Ramona goes to her room and begins packing to run away, declaring she's going to be gone "forever". Her mother tries to talk her out of it, but then devises a plan and helps her pack up a suitcase.
Ramona, with her heavy suitcase in hand, heads out of the house with no one to stop her. As she is walking, she imagines traveling to far places, such as New York City, Paris, and Egypt. She finally comes to a bus stop and sits atop her suitcase. It shifts under her weight, so she opens it discovering a bowling ball and a book her father would draw doodles of Ramona and her mischievous ways. As the bus pulls up, she hears her mother's voice over a baby monitor inside the suitcase. The bus takes off without Ramona, revealing her family in their car searching for her. As the family is reunited, Ramona's mother tells her she purposely packed the bowling ball to make her suitcase heavy, so she could not have gone far.
As Aunt Bea and Hobart's wedding begins, Ramona and Beezus clasp hands as they head down the aisle as bridesmaids. During the ceremony, Howie fumbles his role as ringbearer by dropping the rings. Ramona quickly finds the rings so the ceremony can continue. Afterwards, during the reception, Beezus and Henry share a kiss and then dance. Ramona's father comes across a better job as an art teacher at Ramona's school. She excitedly thanks her teacher, telling her the family will not have to move after all, to which her teacher sarcastically replies that she is looking forward to having Ramona for the rest of the year. Before Hobart and Aunt Bea leave for their honeymoon in Alaska, Ramona runs outside to Hobart's painted Range Rover to give a gift to her Aunt Beatrice a locket with her school picture.
Book
Beatrice "Beezus" Quimby is a girl who has to endure the antics of her imaginative younger sister who scribbles in a library book that Beezus then has to purchase. When Ramona ruins Beezus' checker game with Beezus' friend Henry Huggins and locks Ribsy, Henry's dog, in the bathroom, Henry leaves and Beezus is furious with her sister. Ramona also invites numerous friends over without her mother's permission because she wants to have a party. She also takes one bite from a substantial amount of apples because she was once told that the first bite tastes the best. Later in the story, she ruins Beezus' birthday cakes. She destroys one birthday cake and when Mrs. Quimby endeavours to bake another, Ramona manages to ruin that as well.
Beezus often feels guilty because she knows she is supposed to love Ramona, but has a hard time with that. While she tries to read to her and care for her, Beezus often gets mad about the things Ramona does. Frustrated, Beezus asks their mother if she was like Ramona when she was younger. Their mother replies that yes, and she was different in some ways, such as being quieter. This pleases Beezus, who dislikes Ramona's tendency to be very noisy. Then Mrs. Quimby explains how she and her sister, Beezus and Ramona's Aunt Beatrice, were also very different as children. Beezus begins to think about her mom and aunt, and how much they love each other, and realizes that Ramona is not such a bad little sister after all.

The Book Art of Robert The
They’re still books, only a bit changed. He creates his masterpieces of papercraft sculptures from bound volumes such as ‘Art of the Masters’ and the Encyclopaedia Britannica. All these books were transformed into visual art, but still they’re books. Niceeeee..!

Lifehouse Bookstore
